New Member Joins SunKid

Austria’s SunKid company– known as experts for their „moving carpet“, a conveyor system specially developed for skiing areas as well as elevators and summer sledding tracks, already expanded its portfolio during the last years taking a step towards the amusement and leisure attractions industry with their takeover of Gebr. Heege Freizeittechnik. SunKid Amusement Technology (formerly Schäfer Amusement Technology, SAT) has recently joined the global SunKid group of companies. The CEO of SunKid Amusement Technology GmbH is Mike Schäfer, mechanical engineer. He is supported by Artur Laubenstein (project manager) and Kai Uwe Stein (production manager), who have also gained experiences in the amusement and leisure industry. SunKid Amusement Technology, who is focused on the production of parts and components as well as of groups of components for the amusement and leisure industry, is headquartered in Laubach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The production facility of SunKid AT, who sees its strengths in the production and operation of vehicles and complete trains for rollercoasters or similar constructions, is located in Linden/Westerwald, Germany. The inspection, maintenance, parts replacement and recertification of existing facilities and rides are also part of SunKid AT’s portfolio. (eap)
