New Park Show “Aqua Bellatores” Debuts at Toverland
The Dutch Toverland amusement park has a spectacular new park show called “Aqua Bellatores” in store for its visitors this season. Aqua Bellatores means “water fighters”, which gives an idea of the core of the show. Thus, water is at the center of the new show – 32 waterfalls, 17 fountains and a three-and-a-half-meter-wide tidal wave, with 10,000 liters of water flowing over the set, await guests.
“When we developed Aqua Bellatores, we assumed it would be a big spectacle. With a combination of parkour, trampolines, ziplines and water effects, we can offer something truly unique. The water effects we use at Aqua Bellatores have never been featured in park shows before. For this reason, we also developed the technology behind them in-house. We are very proud of that,”! says Luke Verhoeven, Entertainment Manager at the park.
The show will take place in the Port Laguna entrance area. Accordingly, the stage set has been designed as a village square with colorful facades, so that it matches the Mediterranean style of the theme area. All in all, the stage design, which was developed by the company Create! and stands on a temporary scaffolding construction by AXIS Structures, is 25 meters wide, 12 meters deep and 7 meters high. The show was created in cooperation with the Scottish show company Falcon Entertainment. Also, part of the spectacle are ten stuntmen and show music by the German music production studio IMAscore.
From April 7 through August 27, 2023, visitors will have the chance to experience the new water show two to four times a day, both in Dutch and in English for international park visitors. (eap)
