(eap) The new themed area “Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland” at Australian theme park Dreamworld, which replaces the former DreamWorks-themed area, has recently been completed. While some attractions such as the carousel “The Wiggles Big Red Planes” have already been open to visitors for some months, “The Big Red Boat Coaster from The Wiggles”, the main attraction of the new kiddie area, has also recently gone into operation. The ride was supplied by Italian manufacturer Zamperla. The Wiggles are an Australian children’s music group, supported by the children’s television channel ABC Kids, among others, who is also known internationally.

“We are thrilled to introduce The Big Red Boat Coaster, a fantastic addition to Dreamworld’s line-up of family-friendly attractions. It’s the perfect way to complete our beautiful new Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland, which is designed to bring joy and excitement to families, reinforcing Dreamworld as a destination for unforgettable moments and wholesome family fun,” said Karla Judge, Director of Sales, Marketing and Digital at Dreamworld.

“We couldn’t be more excited for the launch of The Wiggles Big Red Boat Coaster at Dreamworld. Dreamworld has been a special home to The Wiggles and along with the Big Red Planes ride, this is a wonderful opportunity for us to bring brand-new Wiggly fun to Gold Coast locals and visitors,” stated Caterina Mete from The Wiggles.

“ABC Kids’ long-standing partnership with Dreamworld has given families the chance to make new memories alongside their favourite ABC Kids brands. The opening of Kenny and Belinda’s Dreamland, with the Bananas in Pyjamas Carousel and Play School’s Humpty-Go-Round ride, as well as the Bananas in Pyjamas Fun Maze and Play School Wheel, now provides even more fun and excitement,” said Jessica Ellis, Head of ABC Commercial.

The recent completion of the new themed area with the kiddie coaster will be followed by another highlight at the end of this year: The opening of “Rivertown”, another new realm which is currently under construction and will be home to “Jungle Rush”, a new family coaster from VekomaArdent Leisure, operator of Dreamworld, is investing around AUD 50 million (just under EUR 30 million) in all these latest developments. ■
