News from the German Association of Indoor and Leisure Facilities
(eap) The German Association of Indoor and Leisure Facilities (G.: “Verband der Hallen- & Freizeitanlagen e.V. / VDH”), which has been in existence for 20 years and unites the operators of indoor playgrounds and their suppliers under one roof, recently held its 41st industry meeting in Fulda (Hesse), during which a number of industry-specific topics were discussed and specialist presentations given. Among other things, the participating members were informed about the formation of a trampoline division within the VDH in order to better address the specific issues and interests of the increasing number of trampoline park facilities in Germany. Two specific projects are currently underway in the trampoline division: firstly, training for employee training and instruction, and secondly, cooperation with the Safety in Sports Foundation. In addition to these “News from the VDH”, there were specialist presentations on the topics of “Park Operation” and “Liability Insurance”.
The autumn industry meeting was traditionally accompanied by the INTOBIA® in-house exhibition, in which 41 companies took part as exhibitors to present their solutions and products for indoor playgrounds to the operators and specialists who attended. The offerings ranged from play equipment, ticketing and cash register systems to souvenirs, F&B products and insurance. In total, the VDH recorded more than 230 participants at the INTOBIA trade fair.
The next VDH network meeting with general meeting and board elections will take place in Heidelberg from May 4 to 6, 2025, while the next industry meeting with INTOBIA trade fair will be held in Wiesbaden from November 16 to 18, 2025. ■
