(eap) In the outdoor pool at the AQWA Bäder- und Saunapark Walldorf in Baden-Wuerttemberg (Germany), kids can now splash around in the non-swimmers’ pool again. This was recently reopened following renovation work. As part of the measures, the pool was lined with stainless steel and the technology and pumps were renewed. In addition, the pool has opened a new stainless-steel wide wave slide from Atlantics with a separate landing pool. As the new slide does not lead into the non-swimmers’ pool, it now has 25-meter lanes. There are also various attractions such as floor bubblers, a water mushroom, massage jets and a current channel in the modernized water landscape.

The surrounding of the pool has also been completely renovated – awnings provide additional shade to protect from the sun on hot days. The following companies were involved in the renovation work in this area: Guldager and BWS (water treatment), hsb (stainless steel pool), Strohschein and Kieback&Peter (building/ technology services). Also, the six pools at AQWA were equipped with measurement and control technology from ProMinent.

While the renovation work in the outdoor pool was recently completed, the modernization work in the indoor pool and sauna area is continuing. In addition to basic cleaning and technical maintenance, tiling and renovation work is being carried out on the “Exklusiv-”, “Viktoria-” and “Seesauna” saunas. Here, the walls, ceilings and benches will be completely renewed. The indoor pool and sauna are expected to remain closed until including Sunday, 8 Sept inclusive. ■
