Northern Ireland: Andersonstown Leisure Centre in Belfast to Feature New Water Attractions

Actually, several new water slides were scheduled to open to the public last Friday at the Andersonstown Leisure Centre in Belfast as part of an extensive 25 million British Pounds (around 27.5 million Euros) redevelopment. Already last autumn, a new indoor surfing facility was put into operation at the leisure center, which was supplied by the Scottish company Murphys Waves and is the first of its kind in the country. However, due to the increasing number of Corona infections and corresponding closure measures ordered by the government, certain offerings and services at the leisure center are currently not available.

The water slides supplied by WhiteWater West include, among others, a Master Blaster, a Flatline Loop slide and an AquaTube slide. A water play area for children, which is planned to be opened in the coming months, was also delivered by the Canadian supplier. In addition to all the water attractions, the leisure center was also equipped with a new gym offering the latest equipment. (eap)
