Nusajaya/Malaysia: Asia’s First Legoland Hotel is Open
Only one month after the opening of Asia’s first Legoland Water Park (cp. EAP news from 8 Nov 2013), the first Legoland Hotel of Asia was officially opened at the end of November last year. With the theme park, the water park and the hotel in one Lego-themed location the transformation of Legoland Malaysia into a resort is completed now. “[…] The opening of the Hotel transforms LEGOLAND from a tourist attraction to a unique holiday destination. With the Resort fully opened, families can stay longer and enjoy all the rides, slides, shows and attractions that LEGOLAND has to offer”, said Siegfried Boerst, General Manager of Legoland Malaysia Resort. The hotel features 249 uniquely themed bedrooms. While the whole hotel is full of interactive child-friendly features, guests can already enjoy numerous Lego figures, a Lego-themed pirate shipwreck, a Lego-themed castle and much more in the lobby of the hotel. In their rooms, guests can abandon themselves to play pirate, to command a kingdom or to embark on an adventure. There is even a treasure chest for children to be found in each room. More than five million Lego bricks can be found throughout the hotel. (eap)
