Papenburg/Germany: Meyer Werft Visitor Center to Be Renewed

As of March 2015, visitors to the Meyer Werft visitor center in Papenburg, Germany will be able to discover an all new experience world including new exhibits, multi-media stations, a propeller with six meters in diameter and 20 model ships on a scale of 1:100. Tours are offered during the reconstruction phase, but since not all areas of the visitor center will be accessible, the Zeitspeicher is included in every tour. From there, guests get to the visitor center at Meyer Werft, where they can take a look at the shipbuilding docks. Around 250,000 visitors come to Papenburg each year to get an insight into the shipyard engineers’ work. (eap)
