Philippines: Pradera Islands Continues Taking Shape

Pradera Islands, the new future theme park in Lubao, province of Pampanga, on the Philippines, aims at opening its doors to visitors for the first time in 2024 (as part of the Pradera Verde Resort). With this goal in mind, construction work on the site is continuously progressing so that the last attractions that have not yet been installed can move in shortly and the design and theming work can start. As partner for the theming services, the Spanish company Immersive Planet, who is carrying out the master planning, commissioned Themics Philippines, located not far from the site of the new park destination. A large amount of the theming and decoration elements (with the exception of artificial rock design) as well as painting work will be carried out by the company founded last year by Carlo Görtjes and also represented by a European office in the Netherlands (see EAP 5/21). 

The Slovenian-German supplier Petro Art Production is responsible for the artificial rock work, including the almost 20-metre high and 50-metre wide volcano replica for the “The Secret of Arayat” signature dark ride attraction (Metallbau Emmeln & Lagotronics). Likewise, the manufacturer will realize over 1,000 square metres of rock work inside the themed ride with glow-in-the-dark paint highlights and more. (eap)
