Philippines/Europe: Details on Main Attractions for Emerging Pradera Islands Theme Park Revealed
The future visitor offering of Pradera Islands, a new theme park under development on the Philippines (in the Pradera Verde tourism area) whose groundbreaking ceremony took place in late 2019, will include versatile immersive and family-friendly attractions realised by various European manufacturers.
Master-planned by Spanish design firm Immersive Planet, the 23-hectare new park destination will include a media-based dark ride called “Secret of Arayat“, which will immerse visitors in Filipino myths surrounding the Arayat volcano and the Golden Palace of Sinukuan. According to the underlying storyline, this will take place in the form of a search for precious gems, which will be staged in several darkride scenes equipped with 3D video projection technology, special effects and animatronics. The Dutch company Lagotronics is responsible for the implementation of the dark ride including all show equipment, the track and custom-designed vehicles are manufactured by Metallbau Emmeln, Germany.
In addition, Lagotronics has been commissioned with the sound system equipment for the entire park and is involved in the delivery and installation of further attractions: With “VR Coaster – Attack of the Aswang“ there will be a roller coaster by Preston & Barbieri enhanced with virtual reality technology. The VR components will come from VR Coaster. One type of attraction that is particularly popular with the target group of families with younger children is the Interactive Tower by Sunkid (with interactive “magic wands“, targets and scoring system by Lagotronics, among other things), of which the Austrian provider will supply two units for the new park being built (note by the editor of 22/01/20: in addition to two Nautic Jets).
Zamperla has been commissioned with a “Convoy“ type kiddie ride, which will also be enhanced by Lagotronics with interactive technology in the form of cameras with which passengers have to capture as many creatures as possible to collect points. Also, there will be another “attraction classic“ in Pradera Islands with a Haunted House. (eap)
