Plettenberg/Germany: AquaMagis Continues to Invest
This summer, the first overnight guests stayed at the new holiday village of Plettenberg, Germany’s AquaMagis resort (cp. EAP 2/2014). The low-energy houses with wood frame construction are professionally marketed by the international provider of holiday rentals,Novasol. – Also Brandenburg’s Tropical Island resort has expanded its accommodation offer this summer (cf. EAP 5/2014). Compared to the summer of 2013, AquaMagis recorded an increase of 30 percent in attendance during this year’s summer holidays. In order to be able to respond to increasing visitor numbers in the long run, AquaMagis is welcoming around 400,000 guests annually, new plans for further expansions are already in the pipeline. During the next nine months, the water slide area of the facility will be complemented by the addition of a new “jump” waterslide, an innovation from Switzerland’s Klarer company.
