River Safari – Asia’s First Nature Park with a River Theme Now Open
The new River Safari animal park in Singapore celebrated its soft opening last month. River Safari is the fourth facility operated by Wildlife Reserves Singapore, along with Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari and the Singapore Zoo. The new park occupies an area of twelve hectares with 150 plant species and 5,000 animals from 300 different species. The park features rare, threatened animals from different river regions around the world. The highlight is the park’s aquarium, featuring a three meter tall front window providing impressive insights into the underwater environments inhabited by the enormous animals and fish. River Safari is additionally planning to begin offering guests the opportunity to tour the park by boat during the course of the year. (eap)
