Saudi Arabia: Rawae Co. to Open Large-Scale Water Park Near Jeddah
Saudi Arabia’s Rawae Co. water park operator is developing a new large-scale water park near the port city of Jeddah, which is already under construction and scheduled to open in summer 2021. The park will receive a Mediterranean theming and feature a line-up of slides and attractions supplied by Canadian water slide manufacturer ProSlide.
“We are thrilled to be working with Rawae Co. again to bring their vision of a world-class waterpark to life. This will be the largest park of its kind in Saudi Arabia spanning over 110,000 sqm and will be powered by unique, iconic, custom-designed attractions featuring the latest ProSlide innovation and technology,” comments Philip Baker, Vice President Business Development MEA, ProSlide. The company will install a range of custom-made attractions at the park, including the slide types “RallyRACER”, “Dueling PIPEline” and “FlyingSAUCER”, as well as a “RocketBLAST” water coaster and a “RideHOUSE” water play structure.
“This is our largest waterpark yet and we were looking for a partner that could help us differentiate from other parks in the region for the long-term. […] We have worked with them in the past and they delivered and surpassed our expectations […]. We can’t wait to unveil these iconic rides and a world-class waterpark to the market,” says Rawae’s founder Mohammed Radwan. (eap)
