Six Flags Fiesta Texas: “Goliath” Coaster Becomes “Chupacabra”

Even before visitors enter the attraction’s waiting area, they will be greeted by a gruesome sculpture of the monster itself, carved in stone. Appropriate theming, sounds and effects in the entrance area and in the station, such as ominous warnings carved on wooden signs warning the rider: “Beware of the Chupacabra!”, are designed to put visitors in a spooky mood.
Not only the waiting area, but also the course of the suspended roller coaster is to be rethemed by landscaping and additional props. Highlights of the coaster’s route include a vertical loop right at the start of the ride, a “Zero-G Roll”, a “DNA Helix Spiral”, a “Corkscrew Double Helix” as well as “Banked Turns & Barrel Rolls”. ■
