(eap) On March 1, Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio (USA) is set to open what it claims will be the largest DC™ Universe themed area in the United States. Three completely new rides and various revamped attractions promise even more superheroes and villains from the DC Universe.
“We are beyond excited to unveil the largest DC Universe themed area in the U.S. and bring these iconic characters to fans in Texas like never before,” emphasizes Jeffrey Siebert, park president of Six Flags Fiesta Texas. “This expansion offers an incredible experience for fans of all ages, where they can step into thrilling new attractions, expanded themed areas, and reimagined classics. Another new feature is the “METROPOLIS Transit Authority” – a monorail in which park guests can ride over the DC-themed area at a height of around five meters (17 feet) and enjoy a view of the numerous superhero attractions. In addition, with “SHAZAM! Tower of Eternity”, a new family-friendly freefall tower that pulls visitors up to over 20 meters (70 feet) before the gondola falls back down to the ground again and again. All the new attractions were supplied by Italian manufacturer Zamperla.
Furthermore, the existing attractions “SUPERGIRL Sky Flight”, “POISON IVY Toxic Spin”, “THE PENGUIN: Gotham City Getaway” and “Daily Planet” have also been refreshed with additional DC characters and a new storyline. ■
