Six Flags Over Georgia Reveals Name for New Coaster
(eap) This year, the world’s first “Ultra Surf Coaster” from Intamin will open at Six Flags Over Georgia. The park had left the naming of the new attraction to its fans as part of a voting campaign. In total, over 2,500 name suggestions were submitted and over 27,000 votes were cast for the winning name. The attraction, whose train design is reminiscent of a surfboard, will be called “Georgia Surfer”.
“We’d like to thank our fans for the overwhelming response to our coaster announcement and naming campaign,” said Operations Director, Spencer Lucas. ”We received a record number of name suggestions and votes cast, and we’ve been blown away by the hype surrounding this new attraction. We can’t wait for everyone to experience Georgia Surfer this summer.”
Six Flags Over Georgia starts into this year’s season on March 2. However, visitors will have to wait until the summer for the Georgia Surfer to open.
