Skara Sommarland Announces Three New Attractions for 2025
(eap) Three new attractions will be arriving at the “Tivoli” area of the Swedish leisure and water park Skara Sommarland in the summer of 2025: a 20-metre high “Drop ‘n Twist” tower, a “Top Dancer” wiper ride type that will be named “Houdini” (both to be supplied by SBF Visa) and a small, six-metre high Ferris wheel (by W.F. Mangels), which was previously located in Gröna Lund’s “Little Area”. “It’s a great feeling to be able to offer our visitors not just one new attraction next year, but three! The attractions complement each other: the free fall is for the brave, Houdini is for those who love thrills, and the little Ferris wheel will be loved by our youngest visitors,” explains Christoffer Östling, Managing Director of Skara Sommarland.
All attractions are aimed at the whole family. The Drop ‘n Twist tower and the Top Dancer, for example, are open to children aged four years and over and 100 cm tall when accompanied by an adult, and 130 cm / 120 cm tall without an accompanying adult. While the two have a capacity of around 300 passengers per hour each, the mini Ferris wheel has one of around 150 guests per hour.
Skara Sommarland claims to be the largest water park in Scandinavia. In addition to the water park, it also features a Tivoli area, where the new rides will be located. The amusement park is operated by group Parks and Resorts Scandinavia. ■
