Slovakia: Aquapark Tatralandia Launches Two New Family Mega Slides
With 14 thermal pools, 28 slides and additional offerings, Slovakia’s Aquapark Tatralandia is highly popular among locals and tourists alike. Especially for families, the water park will open two new giant slides by the end of this month: “Mega Dolphin” is a Family Turbolance-type slide from Turkish manufacturer Polin Waterparks, promising thrilling sliding fun for up to four persons per raft. The adventure starts at a height of 17.16 meters and includes a steep drop as highlight, propelling sliders uphill vertically. A subsequent reverse path takes sliders back over a bump and ending into a splash pool. According to Tatralandia, this slide installation is the first of its kind in Europe.
Somewhat smoother but no less fun-filled is the “Mega 4” Family Rafting Slide (also from Polin), on which bathing guests also rush in four person-rafts along a versatile slide track shaped by twists, turns and drop down elements. Within the enclosed parts, natural light effect technology enables the natural incidence of light. Both new slides (manufactured with RTM technology) were realized by Polin in cooperation with its partner Eleven Kft. (eap)
