(eap) The Dutch SnowWorld group is taking over Snow Dome Bispingen, located south of Hamburg. This is the group’s second location in Germany following the acquisition of Alpenpark Neuss (near Düsseldorf).

The Snow Dome Bispingen has a 300-metre-long slope, a chairlift and a hotel with an adjoining log cabin park. The offer is complemented by restaurants and conference rooms.

“By opening a second location in Germany, we are strengthening our position as the market leader in Europe for indoor winter sports. We look forward to further developing the location and making it attractive for all target groups – from winter sports enthusiasts to school programs and professional ski teams. This acquisition is a further step in our ambition to make winter sports accessible to as many people as possible,” says Wim Hubrechtsen, CEO of SnowWorld. “Thanks to the economies of scale we can offer as a group, we hope to inspire even more visitors to have fun in the snow.”

One of the current operators of Snow Dome Bispingen, the ski lift company from the Austrian winter sports town of Sölden, will keep a share in the new SnowWorld Bispingen – plans for the future are to be worked on together with SnowWorld. In addition, the cooperation in the area of promotion is also to be extended to the Dutch market.

The Ralf Schumacher Kart Center and the Adventure District are already located in the immediate vicinity of the SnowDome Bispingen, and construction work on another Karls Erlebnis-Dorf is due to begin in 2026.

In total, the SnowWorld Group offers over four million winter sports enthusiasts year-round winter sports fun at nine locations in four countries (five locations in the Netherlands, two in Germany and one each in Belgium and France). ■
