Spain: Arle Capital and Smithfield Capital Sold Shares on Parques Reunidos
According to Spanish media reports, two of Parques Reunidos’ main shareholders – the international private equity manager Arle Capital and Britain’s Smithfield Capital, which is specialized in company liquidations – sold ten percent of the capital of the Spanish operator group to a share price of 14.20 Euros (below a share value of 15.25 Euros quoted on stock on January 4th, 2017) through the financial companies Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley last week.
In this way, Arle Capital and Smithfield Capital reduce their joint company share to 28 percent of the total capital. The sale of eight million shares generated a total revenue of 114.6 million Euros. In the course of the transaction, both investors have committed themselves to not selling any of their remaining shares within the next 90 days. Further shareholders of Parques Reunidos, which went public in spring of 2016, are Fidelity, Hengistbury and Marlowe Capital, amongst others. (eap)
