Spain: José Díaz Takes Over as New CEO of Parques Reunidos

Yesterday, Parques Reunidos announced the appointment of José Díaz (photo) as new CEO of the Spanish operating group. Thus, Díaz, who succeeds former CEO Fernando Eiroa, returns to the helm of the company he led from 2004 through 2013 as Managing Director and CEO. Eiroa retired from his positions at Parques Reunidos last autumn (cf. EAP News from Oct 8th, 2018). In his new role Díaz, who served as General Manager of Aspro Ocio amongst other leading positions, will focus on further improving the process of operational optimization, enhancing the focus on the company’s core business, fostering corporate acquisitions and ensuring an appropriate business model for the indoor entertainment centres.

In addition to naming a new CEO, the group has reinforced the management team in the strategic areas of consumer focus and digital transformation: Elena Cabrero took over as new Client and Marketing Director, Lourdes Álvarez was appointed Digital Transformation Director. (eap)
