Spain: Stéphane Mockels Appointed New General Manager of Grupo Santa-María

The experienced tourism professional Stéphane Mockels (photo) was appointed new General Manager of Grupo Santa-María, the Spanish operating group with headquarters in Benidorm, and its associated leisure attractions Terra Mítica, Aqualandia and Mundomar as well as several hotels located in the Valencian seaside resort.

Mockels completed studies in the field of Marketing and Communications at the University of Metz and worked for enterprises such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers and the Luxembourgish tourism company Voyages Emile Weber, which is specialized in business travel and MICE events. The native Frenchman then founded his own tourism agency promoting business travel in Luxembourg.

In his new position at the helm of Grupo Santa-María he will also oversee the international hotel sites managed by the company, including the new Dreams Macao hotel complex in Punta Cana (Dom. Rep.). In Benidorm, running projects include the development and construction of the new “Grand Luxor Villages” bungalow holiday complex, set to expand the accommodation offering of Terra Mítica theme park as of 2021 (cf.
