At twelve weeks, the winter break was particularly short, as last December was the first time that the park, which is operated by the French Compagnie des Alpes, was regularly open to visitors during the cold season, too.
At the start of the season today, park guests can look forward to interactive experiences in time for the launch of the new “Ghostbuster” film at cinemas up to and including Easter Monday. In addition, especially the “Silverton” attraction (a Sidecar XL from Technical Park), which was added last summer, and the “Kondaa” Mega Coaster (Intamin), which opened in 2021, are likely to attract many visitors to the park. There will once again be special entertainment and activities on selected weekends in summer. New this year is a regulation concerning smoking on park grounds: Walibi has set up six separate areas for smokers in order to keep a large part of the park paths and common areas smoke-free.
In addition to the wide range of leisure activities in the theme park, guests can also try out four new large ProSlide water slides in the “Aqualibi Surf Bay” area, which opened at the end of last year in the neighbouring Aqualibi adventure pool (check out the article in EAP 2/2024). ■
