Story Land Announces Events for 70th Anniversary Season
(eap) The Story Land theme park in Glen, New Hampshire, is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. On May 25, the park, which is operated by Palace Entertainment, will ceremoniously open its gates and welcome visitors to its 2024 anniversary season. Park guests can look forward to a new water playground called “Moo Lagoon” featuring three body slides. The multi-storey water play structure with a farm theme is being supplied by the Canadian firm of Vortex. If guests need swim essentials, they will find a wide selection at the new shop “The Stock Yard”. And if they get hungry after all the fun, they’ll get some delicious snacks at “Barn Yard Pizza”.
“Our 70th Celebration is sure to be the best one yet as we celebrate the monumental year with a variety of events including the opening of the all-new Moo Lagoon,” says Story Land General Manager, Chris Kearsing. “Our fully immersive new water play area will offer families visiting the park an all-moo way to cool off during their summer visit to the White Mountains.”
In addition to the novelties, a series of events await visitors. These include the “Nostalgia Nights”, an event exclusively for adults (21+) with cocktails, live music and entertainment. Also, the “Epic September” event series returns. This includes the “Believe in Books Fun Run” (a charity run), the “Grandparents Day” (when grandparents receive free admission), the “Sensory Sensitivity Weekend” (focusing on visitors with high sensitivity), the “Safety Awareness Day” education event and the “Hero Appreciation Days”, on which military, first responders, police officers, firefighters, EMS, and medical professionals will get free admission. ■
