Suntago Water World Plans New Entertainment Zone “Crocodile Island”
(eap) Suntago Water World, the indoor water park belonging to the Park of Poland, which celebrated its official opening in Wręcza at the beginning of 2020 as one of the largest facilities of its kind in Poland, is getting a new entertainment zone for families. “Crocodile Island” will be the name of the new themed world, which is to be implemented on an area of around 800 square meters by the end of this year. With the four sections “Boat”, “Beach”, “Rainforest” and “Ruins”, especially the younger guests can look forward to attractions such as climbing structures, interactive stations and unique games, designed for different age groups. Guests are accompanied everywhere by animal characters who have discovered the island as a unique habitat for themselves. The aim is to also let children learn about nature and its creatures. The concept for Crocodile Island comes from Creative Studio Berlin (CSB) – the company from designer Chris Lange was also responsible for projects such as the new Deutschlandmuseum (“Museum of Germany”, read our article in EAP 6/2023).

“We reserved an 800 sqm space inside our water park which will now be transformed. We are excited by this unique opportunity to work with Creative Studio Berlin to develop the backstory of their beloved mascots – Jay, Meggi and Otto – and to bring them to life on Crocodile Island. This new zone will be for the entire family,” comments Idan Greidinger, CEO of Park of Poland, which comprises a number of bungalow units in addition to the indoor water park and is set to be continuously expanded by further offerings.
Laura Marakowits, CSB Executive Producer overseeing the project, explains, “Creating a dry space within a humid and chlorinated environment has its challenges, guiding a large number of our material selections, but we are confident that we are bringing the right vendors to the project. We are really looking forward to realizing this exciting and playful environment for the enjoyment of Suntago’s guests. We are well underway for an opening later this year.”
Suntago Water World offers attractions for guests of all ages: in addition to a wave pool, numerous water slides and a lazy river, there is also a wide range of spa and wellness facilities as well as a spacious sauna area – read all about the destination in our related story, which was published in EAP issue 6/2019. ■
