Sweden: “Snake“ – Gröna Lund Announces New Pendulum Ride for 2019
Today, Sweden’s Tivoli park Gröna Lund located in Stockholm announced to open up a new ride in due time for the beginning of the 2019 season: “Snake“ will be the name of the new pendulum ride, which will lift up guests at a speed of 80 km/h and with G-forces of 4.3g up to 40 meters in the air! This tower ride is a “Chaos Pendle” model from Funtime. Up to eight people – with four guests back-to-back – will sit in a gondola attached to a pendulum arm, which in turn is attached to another rotating arm. Since both arms rotate, the gondola will be set into motion as well. A similar attraction can be found at Vienna’s Prater in Austria. The new thrill ride will only be available temporarily – after the end of the season, the ride will leave the park again.
