Sweden: EAS 2015 Starts Today

This morning at 10 am Gothenburg’s exhibition center Svenska Mässan opened its doors for this year’s Euro Attractions Show’s exhibitors and visitors. More than 425 exhibiting companies from all over the world will present their new products on Europe’s largest trade show in the leisure industry through to Thursday, October 8. This year’s EAS features two special characteristics: It is not just the first EAS taking place in Northern Europe but also the first one to be held in the immediate vicinity of an amusement park. Liseberg park will certainly lead trade show visitors to dare a ride on the “Helix” family launch coaster or on “Mechanica”, a star shape opened at the beginning of this season (cf. EAP, issue 4/2015). After the great success of EAS 2014 in Amsterdam the organizer, the European office of the IAAPA, hopes for an equally positive response in 2015. Some 9,000 people are expected to visit EAS 2015. In our next EAP issues we will inform you if this expectation could be met, which new products were presented and what else was important at EAS 2015. (eap)
