Switzerland: New Weather Experience World Open at Säntis Peak
The new weather experience world “Säntis – Der Wetterberg“ (Eng: Säntis – the weather mountain) was recently opened in the mountain station on Säntis peak, at 2,502 meters above sea level. The interactive weather exhibition aims to give kids and adults an understanding of worldwide weather phenomena. The panorama circuit provides guests with a 360 degree overview of the Appenzeller valley and the Alps of the east Switzerland massif. Global extrem weather events are shown and visitors are welcome to try out experiments, where they can produce clouds, wind and thunderstorms.
Mag. Marius Massimo, Managing Director of Innsbruck-based company Idee Concept & Exhibition Engineering GmbH, which designed the exhibition, underlines: “We could not wish for any better mountain than the Säntis for this experience world. Also the professionalism and the innovative power of our customer Säntis-Schwebebahn GmbH, who initiated the construction on 2,500 metres above sea level, is a great factor.“ Andreas Marty, Head of Sales and Marketing of Säntis-Schwebebahn AG, adds: “Kids and adults can imagine to be a meteorologist. In this way, we can remind people to be more sensitive about the much discussed topics in a playful but insistent way. […]“ (eap)
