Switzerland: Säntispark Takes Stock for New Waterslides

Following comprehensive modernization works, Switzerland’s Säntispark opened a new slide park in November 2016, including eight new slide attractions for bathing guests (c.f. EAP, 1/17). Six months later, the waterpark takes stock and is delighted that the new slides have already been used over one million times. The result was determined by sensors integrated into the slides – the most popular attraction to date is the “Säntis-Pipe”. This 127 meter long stainless steel boomerang slide (from Wiegand Maelzer) lures with a six meter high drop leading into an impressive half-pipe element. “We are very satisfied. Our expectations have been exceeded,” said Catherine Zimpfer, Park Director Säntispark Freizeit. (eap)
