Symposium “The Creators of Destinations” at NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences

NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands hosts the symposium “The Creators of Destinations” on Thursday, 31 May 2012 from 13:30 to 18:30 hrs. More and more leisure, shopping and hospitality facilities are being merged into integrated concepts and developed as tourism, business and sports ‘destinations’. Theme parks, cruise liners and airports have offers combining leisure, entertainment, shopping, restaurants, accommodation, etc. for their guests. Therefore the symposium will focus on the question of what the critical success factors for a destination and the integrated business model of shopping, hospitality and leisure facilities are. Keynote speakers will be Steven Rhys, Executive Vice President, Forrec Ltd., Bart Dohmen, Managing Director Europe of BRC and Dr. Hans Mommaas, Professor Leisure studies, Center for Leisure and Tourism Research at Tilburg University.
