The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse: Merlin Entertainments Announces New Attraction on Blackpool’s Seafront

In cooperation between Merlin Entertainments, Magic Light Pictures and the English coastal city of Blackpool, the world’s first “The Gruffalo & Friends” attraction is to open on Blackpool’s seafront next to Sea Life Blackpool in May this year. The new family leisure offer “The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse” will feature six popular stories by the UK’s children’s book author Julia Donaldson and award-winning illustrator Axel Scheffler in a variety of attractions. 2.6 million EUR (2.3 million GBP) invested in the construction of the indoor playland. Here, guests will be able to experience their favorite characters from Donaldson and Scheffler’s stories in magical 3D worlds. Play areas for the youngest are inspired by “The Gruffalo”, “The Snail and the Wale” and “Room on the Broom”, among others. The clubhouse consists of play areas suitable for kids under the age of ten and a toddler play area for children not older than three years.
