The Netherlands: Efteling Plans to Add New Fairytale Scenery to its Fairytale Forest Including a Mini Boat Attraction
Dutch Efteling theme park today announced its plans to add another fairytale story of the Brothers Grimm to its fairytale forest, the scenery of which is scheduled to be finished in autumn 2019. “The Six Swans” will be the theme area’s 30th fairytale scenery, which will be combined with a mini boat attraction for the first time.
The fairytale tells the story of six royal sons, who are transformed into swans by their stepmother, a witch. Their sister has the power to break the spell, when she passes the difficult challenge of not speaking nor laughing for six years. Fortunately, the fairytale has a happy ending and the siblings lived happily ever after. (eap)
