Theater Sauna Opens at monte mare Rheinbach

(eap) After around seven months of renovation work, a completely new area named “Oase der Sinne“ (Engl.: Oasis of the Senses) has been created on two floors at monte mare Rheinbach near Bonn, Germany. Part of this area is a new theatre sauna, which was designed in cooperation with world infusion champion Rob Keijzer. There, guests can enjoy a sauna experience on around 60 square meters, which is created using a combination of light, fog and sound as well as video images on a screen.
“With the theatre sauna, we are setting new standards in sauna culture and offering our guests a completely new sauna experience,” says a delighted Peer Schwetzler, Managing Director of monte mare Rheinbach. “The combination of visual, acoustic and thermal stimuli creates an atmosphere that is both relaxing and invigorating. We are delighted to be able to present our guests this unique attraction in the region.”
The feel-good offerings in the Oasis of the Senses also include a soothing steam bath, an infrared sauna – which offers deep-acting warmth –, a herbal lounge – which invites guests to regenerate with natural fragrances –, a salt world with brine inhalation and a modern shower area. Besides the sauna and wellness paradise, monte mare Rheinbach also includes a sports and adventure pool as well as an indoor diving centre with a ten-meter deep pool. At the beginning of September, a two-day course with freediving instructor Nik Linder will take place in the latter, focusing on important deep diving techniques. ■
