(eap) Since March 2022, the GMF-operated Therme Obernsees thermal spa in Bavaria, Germany, has been modernized in several construction phases parallel to regular bathing and sauna operations. A new outdoor pool and relaxation room were recently opened, offering even more space for rest and relaxation. The outdoor pool, with around 260 square meters and a depth of 1.15 to 1.35 meters, features benches, massage jets, a splash shower and loungers. The offer is complemented by a modern relaxation room with up to 35 loungers and four lounge islands for visitors aged 16 years and over.

The next part – a new children’s water world – is due to open in a few months’ time. In addition to play facilities in the form of a children’s slide and various water zones, this will also include children’s showers and baby changing facilities. In sum, 70 percent of the funding for making the Obernsees thermal bath more attractive is being provided by the Free State of Bavaria. ■
