Therme1 Bad Füssing: Sauna Fun in a Potato Cellar

At the sauna facility Therme1 in Bad Füssing, Europe’s first potato sauna opened on the 18th of January. With the new facility, an unusual sauna landscape has been created in a historical, lovingly kept four-sided courtyard in Rottal. This absolute novelty will supplement the facility’s existing attractions which include a hayloft sauna, herbal sauna, smithy bath and waterfall plunge pool. The new sauna is designed like an old potato cellar, uniting a detailed historical ambience with trendsetting technology and hygiene. For the sauna infusion, potatoes are cooked in a potato steamer and, tastefully seasoned, served to guests. (eap)
