Topping-Out Ceremony for the Tropical Hall Gondwana at Zoo Leipzig

As a symbol for the completion of the building shell, a green crown was put onto the roof of the “Tropenhalle Gondwanaland” at Leipzig Zoo at the end of October. Gondwanaland is by now the sixth themed area at the Zoo Leipzig and will be opened by 2011. There will be 500 different plant species and 40 animal species on an area of 1.65 hectares. The theming of Gondwanaland is based on the idea of the supercontinent as the name already indicates. (eap)
