Triotech Launches “Assassin’s Creed®: The Temple of Anubis” for Its VR Maze Attraction
Following the release of the newest sequel of the action computer game “Assassin’s Creed“ from publisher Ubisoft, Canada’s Triotech company has now launched the new Virtual Reality (VR) experience “Assassin’s Creed®: The Temple of Anubis” for its VR Maze attractions, building on its cooperation with Ubisoft, which was announced during IAAPA Expo last year (cf. EAP, 1/18).
Set in Ancient Egypt, players of the new virtual reality game embody the hero “Bayek”, as they explore a mysterious temple and fight with bow and arrow against enemies. Walls and obstacles of the virtual world can also be touched in the real world, creating a full immersion for players.
“We’re continuing our expansion into other areas of entertainment, leveraging our popular game brands such as Assassin’s Creed to create new experiences for fans and to capture the imagination of new audiences,“ said Deborah Papiernik, Senior Vice President, New Business, Ubisoft.
Ernest Yale, founder & CEO of Triotech, added, “We are really excited to partner with Ubisoft on the well-known franchise Assassin’s Creed. Already more than 100,000 people have experienced our VR Maze all over the world, and this next chapter will definitely widen its appeal!”
Triotech’s VR Maze, which requires a ground space of just under twelve square meters (120 square feet), was especially designed for an implementation in FECs and amusement parks. In addition to the new experience, customers can currently choose between the family-friendly VR game “Virtual Rabbids: The Big Maze” and “Minotaur”, which appeals to different demographic audiences. Visitors to next week’s Euro Attractions Show in Amsterdam can try out the VR maze themselves at the Triotech booth. (eap)
