UAE: Dubai Parks & Resorts – New MOTIONGATE Coasters & LEGOLAND Hotel Open Today
Today, the Dubai Parks & Resorts theme park and entertainment complex celebrates the opening of several new attractions: Visitors to MOTIONGATETM can now experience the two new coasters “John Wick: Open Contract“ (an installation of the “4D Free Spin“ model by S&S) and “Now You See Me: High Roller“ (a spinning coaster by Maurer Rides) in the park’s “Lionsgate Zone“. These had already been announced in fall 2020 (cf. EAP News of 21 Oct 2020), but the commissioning was delayed due to the pandemic. While the 4D Free Spin is the world‘s first roller coaster with a John Wick theme, “Now You See Me: High Roller“ sets a new record as the “world‘s fastest single-car spinning rollercoaster“ with a top speed of 70 km/h, as the park proudly communicates.
New accommodation options are also available as of today, as the first LEGOLAND Hotel in the region opens its doors and complements LEGOLAND as well as the LEGO Water Park, which are also part of the overall complex. With its LEGO-themed rooms, the LEGOLAND Hotel especially appeals to families with younger children.
