UAE: Louvre Abu Dhabi Expands Digital Offer
In order to continue to give interested parties the opportunity to marvel at the art treasures of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the museum has further developed its digital offer including virtual tours, video and audio clips. For example, a 360-degree tour through the current special exhibition “Furusiyya: The Art of Chivalry between East and West“ and a multi-sensory experience, in which artwork digitally comes “to life“ as well as ideas for handicraft works at home. All offerings can be attended online via the museum‘s website or mobile app. The museum also provides families and teachers with learning resources, which can be downloaded.
Further programs such as audio tours or virtual tours through the permanent exhibition and galleries are already planned. “During the temporary closure of Louvre Abu Dhabi it is our mission to continue our work of communicating historical facts about cultural relations. Turning towards art in times of a crisis can be inspiring and rewarding. […],“ says Manuel Rabaté, Director of Louvre Abu Dhabi.
