UK: Magic Christmas Dinner at Hogwarts

On Thursday, December 3, 2015, Harry Potter fans aged 18 and older will get the chance to take part in an exclusive evening event: On this day, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter for the very first time hosts a “Dinner in the Great Hall” evening including a dinner at Hogwarts castles’ festively decorated “Great Hall” which was home to famous Hogwarts feasts and the setting for many other well-known Harry Potter movie scenes. Guests will be welcomed with a drink and canapés before enjoying the first two courses of the Christmas dinner. In order to feel even more as part of Harry Potter’s magical world each guest will be provided with a wand. After dinner, guests will explore the Studio Tour, visiting locations such as the “Gryffindor” common room or “Platform 9 ¾” where the dinner’s dessert will be served. Afterwards, they will have the opportunity to try a cup of butterbeer and walk up “Diagon Alley”, the wizarding shopping street. The evening will conclude with music and dancing.

Since 2012 the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter offers visitors the possibility to take a look at authentic Harry Potter sets (cf. EAP, issue 5/2012). In the framework of the “Hogwarts in the Snow” feature, taking place throughout the Christmas period from November 13, 2015 to January 31, 2016, some of the settings will be decorated as they had been for the movie’s Christmas scenes.
