UK: New “Room on the Broom” Walk Through Experience at Chessington World of Adventures Now Open

England’s Chessington World of Adventures zoo and amusement park resort, which is operated by Merlin Entertainments, has recently launched a new walk through attraction for families, based on Julia Donaldson’s children’s book “Room on the Broom”. The story deals with a witch and her cat, their search for lost belongings during which they make friendship with three more characters that are animals and the chase by a dragon.

Accordingly, the name of the new attraction, which was created by Merlin Magic Making, is “Room on the Broom – A Magical Journey”, inviting young visitors and their families to help the witch during the search – at the same time, they have to watch out for the dragon. The over 1,300 square meter large attraction is located in a mansion in the park that used to be a “Hocus Pocus” hall. The novelty is the second attraction in the park based on a story from Donaldson, following the 2017 opening of “The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure” (cf. EAP News from April 14th, 2017). (eap)
