UK: OTHERWORLD VR Experience Destination Announced Expansion Plans

The London-located VR destination OTHERWORLD, which offers an amount of 16 free romaning experiences under one roof, recently announced extensive expansion plans. Besides two further locations in London’s Victoria district and Birmingham, Otherworld plans on the development of three destinations in Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow. Furthermore, the company is recruiting franchise partners in Germany and the USA.

The main contributor to these developments was 2.9 million British Pounds (3.35 million Euros) worth of fundings distributed by investment company Edge Investments. “The team at OTHERWORLD share Edge’s vision for VR to become a cornerstone of story-telling in the future,” said Niall Santamaria, Investment Manager at Edge Investments. “The OTHERWORLD team has the creative vision and operational acuity to continue to grow and dominate this emerging category at the intersection of creativity and technology.” (eap)
