UK: Planning Permission for Expansion of LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Approved

Over the next years, England’s LEGOLAND Windsor Resort plans to invest some 95 British Pounds (approx. 108 million Euros) into the erection of a 13 meter (43 feet) high indoor ride, two new “fairground-style” attractions and the expansion of its accommodation offer by adding 450 new holiday homes and lodges. Recently, the planning permission for those projects, which includes the exploitation of a part of an adjacent green belt, has recently been approved by the councillors of the Borough Wide Development Management Panel, giving Legoland Windsor Resort “green light” for the realization of its expansion plans.

“We want to thank all the residents, staff and local businesses who have supported us on this journey over the past two years. With their input – and those of councillors last week – we can deliver a tourism legacy for Windsor which we can all be proud of,” commented a Legoland spokeswoman. (eap)
