UK: Puxton Park Attracts Guests with New Sky Trail® High Ropes Course
Located close to the British city of Bristol, Puxton Park has been enthusing its guests with animals and family rides for years now. This season, the park has expanded its existing visitor offer with a Sky Trail® high ropes course, challenging beginners and advanced climbers alike with a range of obstacles in a height of six meters.
A special in Puxton Park, the course incorporates two elements, which appear for the first time on a Sky Trail in the UK: a “rolling log” and a “wave tunnel”. The former offers the opportunity to try and cross a “log” successfully either while holding hand lines or without the aid of the lines, while the latter begins to wobble on crossing, adding a further fun element to the course.
The new high ropes course can be enjoyed by visitors one meter tall accompanied by an adult or up from 1.2 meters unaccompanied. Covering an area of 25.7 x 14.7 meters, the new venue reaches a capacity of 25 climbers at any one time, which means approx. 50 persons per hour. The Sky Trail, which was installed by Innovative Leisure (the British distribution partner of US manufacturer Ropes Courses, Inc.), comprises one level with the capacity to add a further level in the future.
A Sky Tykes® junior ropes course completes the new climbing offer for the park’s very youngest visitors. Kids aged two to seven years are able to enjoy this course unaccompanied or with an adult walking at their side. Up to ten youngsters can use the Sky Tykes course at the same time, reaching an hourly capacity of 30 children.
In total, Puxton Park has invested around 345,000 Euros (300,000 British Pounds) into this new visitor offer, the usage of which is already included in the admission price for the park. (eap)
