USA: “Battle of Lake Erie“ Enthuses Kids at Waldameer’s Water World
Located in Erie/Pennsylvania, the Waldameer amusement park recently opened a new, large-scale water play structure at its belonging Water World, named “Battle of Lake Erie”, which offers kids seven slides, two dump buckets for a frequent refreshment and over hundred water play features. The theming of the “RideHouse 500” structure from Canadian supplier ProSlide features the Battle of Lake Erie, which took place on September 10th, 1813 between a British and an American fleet, ending up in an American victory. The water play structure’s ship resembles the historical “U.S. Brig Niagara”.
Besides this new kids attraction, the park is already planning another novelty for the 2018 season, when it will launch a “Cannonbowl 30” slide (also from ProSlide), on which bathing guests will be able to speed down in two-person rafts. Also, the Waldameer amusement park will surprise its visitors with a new family attraction next season, a “Samba Balloon Race” delivered by Italian manufacturer Zamperla. (eap)
