Starting on August 13, visitors of SeaWorld San Diego, California, will have the possibility to see the new show “Dolphin Days”. After five years the new program will replace the previous show “Blue Horizons”. In the center of attention are bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales. The show is supposed to give visitors an understanding of the close relationship that can be built between animals and their trainers. Furthermore, the parks tries to draw the people’s attention on animal protection. In the framework of several projects, SeaWorld demonstrates its commitment to the protection of threatened wild species (cf. EAP News from March 26, 2015). Another special feature of “Dolphin Days” is that in each show one guest will get the chance to assist the trainers during the performance. To see the show, visitors do not need to pay any additional fee, the regular park entrance ticket is sufficient. (eap)
