USA: “Harley Quinn Spinsanity“ at Six Flags Over Texas Opens Tomorrow

The new “Harley Quinn Spinsanity” thrill ride – a Tourbillon model from Swiss manufacturer abc rides – opens tomorrow at Six Flags Over Texas in the park’s “Gotham City” theme area (c.f. EAP, 6/17). Just like the other existing thrill attractions in that theme area, including “The Joker”, “Catwoman Whip” and “The Riddler Revenge”, the Tourbillon is themed after a popular comic figure from DC Entertainment’s portfolio of characters, promising action-hungry park guests a rush of adrenaline: Three rotating squares nested within one another spin around three different axes forwards, backwards and sideways. Riders are secured via shoulder restraints and ascent to a maximum height of around 21 meters (70 feet) to experience positive and negative G-forces.

Another Tourbillon thrill ride will open at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey this year, under the name of “Cyborg Cyber Spin”. (eap)
