USA: Cedar Fair Reports FY 2018 Results: Growth Continues
Cedar Fair Entertainment Company recently reported the results of its 2018 fiscal year, showing a continued company growth. With a total of 1.35 billion US Dollar (approx. 1.2 billion Euro), the operating group achieved an increase of two percent compared to 2017, total attendance at the related theme and water parks reached 25.9 million guests, a one-percent growth. Per capita guest spendings increased by one percent up to 47.69 US Dollars (42.28 Euro) compared to 2017.
“Out-of-park revenues” show an increase of six percent in 2018 with total revenues of 152 million US Dollar (approx. 135 million Euro). Especially the fourth quarter of 2018 was closed with significantly increased numbers compared to the same period in the previous year: Thanks to Halloween and Christmas events, revenues grew by nine percent. As new long-term growth objective, Cedar Fair targets a 2023 Adjusted EBITDA of 575 million US Dollar (around 510 million Euro).
