USA: Disney’s “Zootopia” to Be Released in IMAX®3-D Theatres

At the beginning of March, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ latest animated film “Zootopia” will be released in cinemas all over the world. As IMAX Corporation and The Walt Disney Studios recently announced, the adventure will also be available in IMAX^® 3-D and shown in US-based IMAX^® 3-D theatres for one week as of March 4. The film will also have an IMAX release in select international markets starting February 12, including China on March 4.

Directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore, Zootopia tells the story of the bunny “Officer Judy Hopps” and the fox “Nick Wilde”, who jointly try to solve a case. “Zootopia features some of the richest and most inventive environments ever created for an animated film, and we are thrilled that moviegoers around the world will have a chance to experience it in IMAX^® 3-D,” says Dave Hollis, Executive Vice President, Theatrical Distribution, The Walt Disney Studios.
