USA: Extreme Engineering Announces Personnel Changes in Leadership Team

With more than 27 years of experience, Extreme Engineering is known as a manufacturer and supplier of family-friendly attractions, including e.g. mobile rock-climbing walls, ziplines or the Cloud Coaster introduced a few years ago (see EAP 3/2016). Now the U.S. company announced several changes at management level. While Rob Wyatt has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO), two internal promotions are also expected to contribute to the company’s further growth. Company co-founder and Executive Vice President Phil Wilson is now Chief Development Officer and Kris Benken has been appointed Vice President of Business Development.

Rob Wyatt has more than 30 years of experience in global design and project management and has demonstrated his expertise across global award-winning projects for theme parks, attractions, museums, aquariums and corporate centers. He is an active member of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and IAAPA.

Phil Wilson has been involved with Extreme Engineering since its beginnings in 1995, when he founded the company with his father Jeff. He was instrumental in building the company’s esteemed reputation within the attractions industry. In his new position, Wilson will oversee all strategic partnerships, global marketing, fabrication services, custom attraction development and new product concepts. He is an active member of IAAPA as well, where he has served on the board of directors and several committees. He is also a member of the TEA.

Kris Benken joined the company in 2015 and has been able to quickly build his leadership and sales skills and apply them to projects around the world. In his new role, Benken will lead all adventure ride sales, sales support and sales strategies. He is a member of TEA and is involved in various IAAPA committees. (eap)
